Reminder for the General Support Fund for the submission of bids or projects in 2023 and 2024

Call for submission of bids for projects in 2023 and 2024
The purpose of the General Support Fund (GSF) is to support any activity related to EURO that cannot be covered by other instruments of EURO.
The General Support fund should not be used as a support to regular activities of the member societies and EURO working groups (such as national meetings and conferences). Also bids aiming at supporting a single individual are not acceptable.
Priority will always be given to:
bids that give special consideration to the need of students (e.g., organiser of an event related to EURO willing to subsidise the participation of students),
bids that give special consideration to the need of organisers of OR events in Central and Eastern Europe,
bids that emanate from a member society of EURO or organisers of EURO sponsored events or organisers of events sponsored by a member society of EURO.

The bids are kept informal. They should, however, always contain a description of the project and a budget. They should mention the support that has been obtained or solicited from other sources. Please note we have an online submission system for bids. You will need to register and you will receive confirmation of your submission. Bids should be submitted (as a zip file or equivalent single submission) online:

VIII Iberian Modelling Week
Del 25 al 29 de julio se celebrará en Coimbra, Portugal, la VIII Iberian Modelling Week, organizada por la red portuguesa PT-MATHS-IN y por math-in.
Esta actividad está dirigida a estudiantes de Matemáticas (grado o máster), dándoles la oportunidad de trabajar en equipo en modelización matemática de problemas aplicados, promoviendo el intercambio de ideas entre participantes y, fundamentalmente, estimulando las vocaciones profesionales hacia la matemática aplicada e industrial.
Os agradeceríamos que difundierais esta información a vuestro alumnado y en redes sociales. Podéis encontrar más información en la web del evento.

New presentations will be allocated in a general session or in the poster session if there are no free slots.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will be hybrid. All sessions will be live-streamed on Zoom for all the conference participants. Participants can attend the conference in person, even if they prefer a virtual presentation.
Sponsored by the European Regional Section of the IASC and hosted and organized by the Department of Statistical Sciences of the University of Bologna, Italy.
The conference aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners to discuss recent developments in computational methods, methodology for data analysis and applications in statistics. All topics within the broad interface of Computing & Statistics will be considered for oral and poster presentation.
