BEIO accepts for publication only original articles of divulgation of Statistics and Operations Research that are not published or submitted for publication in any other scientific journal. The published articles can be written in English or Spanish with the title, summary and key words in English without Spanish translation. Articles will be send by e-mail to the Associate Editor of the corresponding section or to the Editor of the journal. They will be written in style article of Latex according to the English and Spanish templates available on the website of the journal. Before submitting an article, the authors would be well advised to ensure that the text uses correct Spanish or English and conforms to the rules of style contained in the templates.
The associate editor of each section will send the submitted articles for systematic peer review by at least three independent specialists and/or members of the Editorial Board. The Editor’s decision on the acceptation of the article and the reviewer comments will be sent to the primary author if changes are requested in form or content previously to publication. Once the article has been approved, the authors must send a final electronic version in Latex, following the instructions of the editor responsible for that article.

Published articles represent the author’s opinions and the journal BEIO does not necessarily agree with the opinions expressed in the published articles.
Submitting a manuscript to BEIO means that the author transfers the copyright for this contribution to Sociedad de Estadística e Investigación Operativa (SEIO). Publication ethics and malpractice statement
The journal BEIO makes a commitment to the academic community by ensuring the ethics and quality of its published articles. To meet this commitment, this journal uses the Code of Conduct and Best Practices guidelines for journal editors defined by the Publication Ethics Committe (COPE). According to these best practices, BEIO evaluates the submitted articles by selecting anonymous, external peer-reviewers. The evaluation criteria is based solely on the scientific relevance of the article, originality, clarity and appropriateness of the work presented to the objectives of the magazine.
BEIO guarantees the confidentiality of the evaluation process in relation with the anonymity of the reviewers and authors, the reviewed content, the reasoned report issued by the reviewers and any other communication issued by the editorial, advisory and scientific boards as required. Equally, the strictest confidentiality applies to possible clarifications, claims or complaints that an author may wish to refer to the journal’s committees or the article reviewers.
The journal BEIO declares its commitment to the respect and integrity of work already published. For this reason, plagiarism is strictly prohibited and texts that are identified as being plagiarized, or having fraudulent content, will be eliminated or not published. In accepting the terms and conditions expressed by the journal, authors must guarantee that the article and the materials associated with it are original and do not infringe copyright. The authors will also have to warrant that, in the case of joint authorship, there has been full consensus of all authors concerned and that the article has not been submitted to, or previously published in, any other media.
At the same time, BEIO thereby guarantees an appropriate response to the needs of readers and authors, ensuring the quality of the published work, protecting and respecting the content and integrity of the articles. The Editorial Board will publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.
