Two lectureships in Statistics at the University of Bristol (ref. 15429)
Department of Statistics School of Mathematics University of Bristol Applications are invited for two lectureships (similar to assistant professorships in Northern American terminology, but with an expectation of tenure) in Statistics, ideally tenable from the summer of 2010 or a date to be agreed. The posts will give ambitious researchers and teachers an outstanding opportunity to develop and extend their interests. The appointments will be made on the Pathway 1, Lecturer 1b, Grade J scale, according to qualifications and experience, and are permanent, subject to the University's standard probation, progression and promotion procedures. The salary range concerning this grade is currently* ** *£33,600 - £37,839. The positions form part of the SuSTaIn programme (Statistics underpinning Science, Technology and Industry), a substantial capacity-building Science and Innovation award from the UK EPSRC in mathematical statistics aimed at equipping the discipline to face the challenges of future applications. http://www.sustain.bris.ac.uk/ The deadline for applications is 18th June 2010.
