Postdoctoral Researchers in Statistical Genetics

Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Researchers to join Matthew Stephens's research group within the departments of Human Genetics and Statistics at the University of Chicago. Research in the Stephens lab focuses on the development and application of statistical tools for the anlaysis of genetics and genomics data. Ongoing research topics include genetic association studies, population structure, and analysis of data from next-generation sequencing technologies. The Stephens lab provides an exceptional research environment, sharing recently-renovated computational space with the labs of Professors Jonathan Pritchard and Molly Przeworski, and members of the different labs interact on a daily basis. There are also strong ties with several experimental groups at the University of Chicago, including Professors Yoav Gilad and Anna Di Rienzo.
Applicants should have, or be studying for, a PhD in statistics, computer science, quantitative biology, or related quantitative discipline. A strong computational background is also required.
