The Chair arises from the University’s recent award by EPSRC of £4.3M for a Doctoral Training Centre in Statistics and Operational Research. We are looking for the appointed person to take a leading role in the Centre activities through collaborating with industrial partners on statistical research and applications. We are looking for applications from candidates with an international research reputation in statistics (interpreted broadly, to include statistical methodology,applied probability and stochastic operational research).
Candidates should be willing to play a leadership role in the Statistics group,attract external research funding and collaborate with external organizations.
